How to Host the Perfect Birthday Dinner in Panania
13 May 2026
There’s a reason so many local birthdays — from 18ths and 21sts to 50ths and beyond — end up around our tables. A great Italian restaurant is built for exactly this kind of night: shared plates, good wine, and the kind of warm, unhurried atmosphere where people actually talk to each other.
Here’s how to make your birthday at Pikkio one to remember.
1. Tell us it’s a celebration
When you book, let us know it’s a birthday. We allow time before your party to set up decorations — balloons, streamers, flowers — using our wall and ceiling space, so the table feels special the moment your guests arrive.
2. Choose a set menu for bigger groups
For larger tables, a set menu takes the stress out of ordering and keeps things flowing. We can tailor it around your group — including pizzas, house-made pastas, premium secondi like veal, lamb and chicken, and of course dessert.
3. Don’t forget the gluten-free guests
Italian food has a reputation for being carb-heavy, but we offer gluten-free options so no one misses out — including our famous Limoncello tiramisù.
4. Sort the drinks your way
We’re fully licensed and BYO wine, so you can choose from our list, bring your own bottles, or arrange a custom bar menu for the table. (A 10% surcharge applies on public holidays.)
5. Book early for weekends
Friday and Saturday evenings fill quickly. For milestone birthdays and bigger groups, get in touch well ahead of time.
